Grasshopper

Grasshoppers are a sworn enemy of all horticulturists. Seen here is what we believe to be a green slant-faced grasshopper. Commonly found throughout Florida in low grasses and weedy areas, they can be quite a nuisance to anything from crops to residential lawns. Grasshoppers are hard to control so the most effective control method is suppression.
