We decided to take off the plastic mulch in our low tunnel row this past week. We figured that the low tunnel will provide enough protection from the elements and lock in enough moisture that we don't need the plastic mulch. As you can see, the plastic that was there for a few weeks has suppressed weeds very effectively and made hoeing the rows much easier.
